Free Vaccinations at Burslem Medical Centre

At Burslem Medical Centre, we believe prevention is better than cure — and we’re committed to protecting our community with accessible, no-cost vaccinations for eligible patients.

✅ Current Free Flu Vaccine (May–June of each year)

As part of the WA Department of Health Free Influenza Vaccine Program, everyone aged 6 months and older can now receive the flu vaccine free of charge, even if you don’t have a Medicare card.

Eligible groups include:

  • Children aged 6 months to 11 years

  • Adults aged 65 and over

  • People with medical risk factors (5–64 years)

  • Those experiencing homelessness or in congregate living

  • All visitors and temporary residents — even without Medicare!

Participating clinics and pharmacies must not charge for the vaccine. Some GPs may charge a consultation fee — but at Burslem Medical Centre, we aim to keep your care affordable and transparent.

🛡️ Other Free Vaccines We Offer

Thanks to the National Immunisation Program (NIP) and WA Health-funded initiatives, eligible patients can also receive the following vaccines at no cost:

  • Routine childhood immunisations (from birth to 20 years old)

  • Catch-up vaccinations for adolescents and adults under 25

  • HPV vaccine (free up to age 25)

  • Pneumococcal and shingles vaccines for eligible older adults

  • Maternal vaccinations during pregnancy

  • Vaccinations for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
