Making an Appointment

Appointments can be made as follows:

Online via Bookings Page & HotDoc App

Our Bookings Page, located here, and the HotDoc app, allows you to book your appointment at a time convinient to you within your preferred doctor’s availablity either in-person, or if applicable, via Telehealth. Most repeat perscriptions can be refilled by your doctor from $28.70. Perscriptions are issued as an eScript, so it is recommended you confirm with your regular pharmacy if they accept eScripts.

Phone

Your doctor can request a phone appointment with your doctor to refill your perscription. Perscriptions are issued as an eScript, so it is recommend you confirm with your regular pharmacy if they accept eScripts.

In Person

You are welcome to visit Burslem Medical Centre in person anytime during our opening hours. Please note that all appointments do require a prior booking, and we’ll be able to  make you an appointment in person for when your preferred doctor is next available.

If you require care for wounds or lacerations, please visit us — our practice nurse will attend to you promptly, and no appointment is necessary.

Please note: A cancellation fee applies if you cancel with less than 2 hours’ notice or do not attend your appointment.

Call 000 for life-threatening emergencies or present to your local Emergency Department. If you are unsure, refer to the Emergency Departments on the Health WA website here for Emergency Departments and location information.

Wait Times

We understand your time is valuable — and sitting in a waiting room longer than needed isn’t anyone’s idea of healthcare done right.

While wait times may increase slightly during peak hours (like school pick-up periods or flu season), we’re always working to keep them as short as possible.

Here’s how we make your visit smoother and more efficient:

  • Live wait time updates via the HotDoc app, so you can see your position in the queue in real-time

  • Streamlined appointments — such as getting your immunisations at the nurse’s station while you wait

  • A comfortable waiting room with seating, a TV, and magazines to help the time pass more pleasantly

  • ✅ A team that constantly looks for ways to improve patient flow without compromising on care

We’re proud to offer low average wait times and a transparent process — because we respect your time just as much as your health.
